NOV. 3: 8:12 a.m., police were called to a new-home construction site in the 100 block of Parkwood to investigate theft of a loader [$14,500].
7:15 p.m., an employee of CiCi’s Pizza, 3300 E. Business Texas 114, reported that a man and two women stole $98.73 from the restaurant.
7:15 p.m., a driver reported that someone had smashed a window [$500] of her vehicle parked in the 2900 block of East Southlake Boulevard, and stole a purse [$40], containing five credit cards, checkbook, driver’s license, cellphone [$100] and wallet [$20].
NOV. 4: 3:39 p.m., a woman in the 700 block of Longford reported that she had placed an envelope containing $200 worth of items outside her front door. The items were stolen within 5 minutes, police said.
9:10 p.m., a man went to police headquarters to report an ID thief using his Social Security number in an attempt to open credit accounts.
NOV. 5: 8:55 a.m., a school resource officer wrote a ticket to a parent for contributing to the truancy of a student who had no excuses for repeated absences at Carroll High, 801 N. White Chapel.
6:33 p.m., a woman reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of North Carroll and stole a purse [$250], containing a wallet [$10], two debit cards, $160 cash, car keys [$200] and iPod [$199].
NOV. 6: 1:22 p.m., a man in the 2800 block of Tyler told police that he had done landscaping, had been paid $2,700 in checks, but was unable to cash the checks because of insufficient funds, stop payments and closed accounts.
NOV. 7: 10:38 p.m., police arrested a Hurst man, 55, in the 2200 block of East Southlake Boulevard for driving while intoxicated.
NOV. 10: A woman at MJ Farm & Nursery, 2499 Union Church, reported that a wild rooster had pecked and scratched her.
